Wastewater Facilities Mechanic (Full Time)

Engineering Department

Description of Duties

The incumbent will perform routine maintenance and operates machinery involved in the operation of a wastewater treatment plant facility.  The applicant will perform skilled mechanical work in the repair of machinery and equipment.  Diagnosis, repair and preventive maintenance will also be performed by the candidate.  Must be self-motivated and be able to complete assignments working independently or as part of a team, communicate effectively both orally and written.  Has a good knowledge of tools, techniques and terminology used in various applications such as welding, carpentry and general mechanical trades.  Successful candidate will have either an Associate's Degree in electrical, mechanical technician or construction technician with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment OR a high school graduate with five (5) years of satisfactory experience in a maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment.

$23.15 ph
