Police Department

Applicants must be 18 years old, female and possess a valid New York State Driver's license. Must be available for afternoon, overnight and weekend hours. Must be able to work up to 19 hours a week and be required to pass a background check & medical exam

Description of Duties

• Admits and discharges prisoners;

• Supervises the cleaning of prisoners quarters;

• Censors incoming and outgoing mail;

• Purchases food for prisoners meals;

• Supervises all laundry work and cleaning done by prisoners;

• Accompanies prisoners to and from courts and other institutions.

Qualifications

Completion of a standard grade school course.

Rate of Pay

$17.00 per hour to $18.50 per hour.
