2025 Town of Amherst Formal Review
We are now accepting Formal Reviews. Property owners can mail in or drop off the applications now through Grievance Day, which is Tuesday, May 27th. Please see below for instructions and forms. The RP-524 form is required, and we cannot move forward with a review if it is not submitted along with the supporting documentation. We will hold hearings with the Board of Assessment Review on Tuesday, May 27th from 9am-5pm and 6pm-8pm. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact the Assessor’s Office at (716) 631-7038.

2024 Town of Amherst Assessment Equity Project
The Town of Amherst final assessment roll has been set for 2024-2025. During the Assessment Revaluation Project, the town contracted with GAR Associates to prepare a website (“Pros”) for property research, comparable sales and assessments, etc. Since that project concluded at the end of June, 2024, the town is relaunching the Comprehensive Property Information portal (CPI). The CPI portal has updated assessment values, property sales, etc. as well as property tax information that includes two-years of tax history and true tax calculations.
