Amherst Utility Cooperative

The deregulation of natural gas and electrical energy has opened the door for various ways to purchase energy at a lesser cost. The Amherst Utility Cooperative (AUC) was formed in 1998 as a way of generating savings through the joint purchase of energy. Today the AUC purchases natural gas and electricity for the Town of Amherst, the Village of Williamsville, three school districts and three fire companies.

Any questions or correspondence regarding the AUC meeting schedule, membership guidelines or other matters should be directed to the Town of Amherst Engineering Department.
