15th Annual Veterans Memorial Wall Ceremony
This year marks the 15th annual Town of Amherst Veterans Memorial Wall Ceremony where the Town Board, Town Veterans Committee and entire community will honoring the class of 2026. The memorial wall honors both living and deceased veterans from Amherst and Williamsville. The ceremony will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 16 at the Veterans Memorial Wall, 390 Mill Street, Williamsville. This year, the Town will add the names of 59 veterans who served in the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps, including one veteran who was held as a prisoner of war. Residents, veterans, military families, and members of the community are encouraged to attend this meaningful event as the Town recognizes the men and women who answered the call to serve. The Veterans Memorial Wall stands as a lasting tribute to the courage, dedication, and selflessness of local veterans and serves as a reminder of the profound impact their service has had on our community and our country.
