Book Review - No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality By Michael J Fox
The book No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality by Michael J Fox, was published in 2020. It is Michael J Fox’s memoir. In his memoir, Mr. Fox talks about his career, his family and Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 1991. He also discusses the Michael J Fox Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Michael J Fox has been a prominent person with a disability and has advocated for a cure for Parkinson’s disease. In his memoir, Fox describes what it has been like for him to live with Parkinson’s disease. He stresses the importance of having support from family and friends and the necessity of having a sense of humor. Mr. Fox describes the various acting jobs he has had since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and of his decision, in 2020, to retire from acting altogether. Mr. Fox describes himself as an optimist. While his memoir is partly about his struggles, it is also about hope for the future.
