Hunting and Fishing Licenses will be temporarily unavailable until Monday, October 19th, 2026.
Hunting season runs from September 1st (of the current year) through August 31st (of the following year). Anyone wishing to renew a hunting license needs to provide an old hunting license or a training certificate and a New York State driver’s license. New licenses may be obtained by presenting proof of training certificates and a valid driver’s license.
Fishing season runs for one year from the purchase date of the license. Please consult https://dec.ny.gov/regulatory/permits-licenses/sporting-and-use/sporting/decals for current fees. Also visit the website for categories of individuals who may hunt or fish for a reduced fee.

Snyder Fire District - Notice of 2026 Meeting Dates
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the regular meeting dates for the Snyder Fire District for the year 2026 shall be the third Tuesday of each month. The only exception is in the month of April when the meeting will be held on April 14, 2026. All meetings will start at 7:30 p.m. A special meeting shall be held on April 9, 2026, at 8:30 p.m. for the purpose of appointing the Chief and Assistant Chiefs. A special meeting shall be held on August 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. to prepare a preliminary 2027 Fire District Budget. A special meeting shall be held on October 20, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. for public comment on the proposed 2027 Fire District budget. All meetings shall be held at the Snyder Fire Headquarters, 4531 Main Street, Snyder, New York 14226. This notification is given pursuant to provisions of Section 94 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York.
