Landscapers must obtain a landscaper’s permit to do business in the Town of Amherst. The permit is valid January 1 through December 31 of each year. The fee is $35.00 for the first vehicle and $5.00 for each additional vehicle, including trailers. It is necessary to provide the current vehicle registration and sales tax number when obtaining a permit. For more information, contact the Town Clerk's Office.

Snyder Fire District Annual Election
Notice is hereby Given that the Annual Election of the Snyder Fire District will take place on December 10, 2024 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Snyder Fire Department located at 4531 Main Street, Amherst, NY 14226, for the purpose of electing one (1) Fire Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing on January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2029. All residents of the Snyder Fire District duly registered with the Erie County Board of Elections as of November 18, 2024 shall be eligible to vote.
